Conduct maintenance of utility equipment in a manner that will ensure the highest reliability. Maintain logs and perform testing on all the required equipment to meet plant needs and regulatory requirements. Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, and production machines and equipment. Observe mechanical equipment in operation and troubleshoot failures.

Utilities & Maintenance

Oversee the boilers, chillers, well, and cooling tower while in operation and detect complications using accurate testing and measuring instruments

Maintain a log of readings to ensure systems are operating according to standards and alert management of variations

Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment per the PM schedule

Monitor and maintain compressed air systems to the plant to prevent failure

Dismantle equipment to examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Repair or replace defective parts.

Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. Install special functional and structural parts in devices.

Lubricate and clean parts.

Set up and operate drill press, grinder, mill and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Start devices to test their performance.

Request parts (stock and equipment) for purchase and implementation.

Complete maintenance care obligations according to manufacturer recommendations or as instructed.

Perform basic electrical and instrumentation work as required.

Comply with all safe work procedures, practices and security guidelines

Participate in sharing of knowledge to enhance development of the maintenance team.

Exceptional ability to perform in a noisy, humid, hot and high-volume machine production environment

Regularly communicate with other employees regarding ongoing repairs, including status of repair or part request.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

First Class Steam license preferred

Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical terminology.

Ability to recognize problems with various types of industrial machinery, pneumatics, robots and automation equipment.

Knowledge of laser alignment

Light welding experience

Basic electrical and instrumentation knowledge

Experience in food processing.
